Recently, I have taken the plunge to take a rather different approach to research: going freelance. It offers me the opportunity to work on a range of projects, study species, questions, .. which makes it a highly satisfactory and fun thing to do. I am also registered officially as a one-man company at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Van Wijk Eco Research) and as such my work is organised legally.
