Conservation

As part of my Master studies at Wageningen University, the Netherlands, I had the privilege to work on radiotransmitter data of Common hamsters (Cricetus cricetus) collected as part of a conservation project in the southern part of the Netherlands, coordinated by Maurice La Haye. One of the interesting findings of this work, was that dispersal directions tended to follow landscape features such as the outline of barley parcels as shown below.
