Aside of my recent work that is mostly on migrating birds, I am also involved in work on Bolivian River Dolphins (Inia boliviensis). Technically, I am the treasurer of the NGO CONCETA Bolivia, but I mainly take on the role of supporting & advertising this work where I can. The project was iniated by Amber Beerman who with great perseverance & determination, is continuing to study and help conserve this illusive, rare, fresh water dolphin in Bolivia. Any support, be it mentally, financially or otherwise, is highly appreciated!
The picture above was one of the few ones I managed to take myself when I joined an expedition to study this species back in February 2010. For an impression, below are a few pictures that show how to get about and a glimpse of other wildlife that can be found in this region.
